This site documents the life and works
of Danish American Marine and Landscape painter, Peter F. Lund, 1846-1898. Peter
F. Lund died in obscurity without ever receiving full recognition of his talents
as an American Marine Painter. Lund was well recognized in Duluth and
Minneapolis, Minnesota as a serious painter in the art scene.
Today, very little
is known about his life and works. Bringing together paintings, photographs, and
documented life history may provide collectors a chance to appreciate his
contributions to the American Art Scene in late 19th century.
